Eagle Wing Newsletter: It is almost time for our Christmas issue.
Contributions can be sent to Rev Paul Dalzell on eaglewing@pauldalzell.uk or to Julie at the church office on julie@groomsportpresbyterian.com. As many as possible are encouraged to contribute. All articles should be submitted by TODAY. This will be a strict deadline to allow sufficient time for preparation and copying.

IBRA Bible Readings for 2025. Details and a sign-up sheet are in the vestibule for anyone who is interested. The cost is £13.00. Deadline for ordering is TODAY.

PW are very happy to have Olive and her friend Hilary, tomorrow night, Monday 25th November in the Archie Agnew Hall at 7.30pm to ask the question “What’s in your handbag.

Wednesday Private Prayer:- Our church is open for private prayer and quiet reflection every Wednesday morning. If you have any pastoral needs, please contact our minister Rev. Paul Dalzell or leave a message with our church secretary.
November Storehouse Donations: Please do consider supporting us with the usual groceries but also with Christmas fayre for our Christmas hampers.
We hope to start making up our hampers week beginning 2nd December. This means that we really need our Christmas goodies with us at the beginning of December. Thank you for your help.

Wednesday Welcome‘:- The Hub is open on a Wednesday morning from
10:30 to 12 noon. Anyone is welcome to call in, a warm welcome is assured.

Hobby Hub continues on Thursday afternoons at 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. This is an opportunity for fun and fellowship while sharing interests and skills in a safe relaxing setting.

Pickleball Group also continues on Thursday afternoons 2:30 – 4:40 p.m. If you would like to learn more and see if this is for you, please come along and join the fun. Spectators also welcome.

Fortwilliam Musical Society: We are looking forward to welcoming back the Fortwilliam Musical Society this Friday 29th November at 7:30 pm. We will be entertained to ‘Songs from the Shows’. You can still purchase tickets from members of the Mission Committee or from Julie in the church office. Suggested donation is £10. Proceeds will go to support the work of our missionary partners in northern Kenya, Angelina and Stephen Cowan.

Men’s Group Meeting – Friday 29th November: Our next meeting will be a coffee morning this coming Friday starting at 10.00am. Our invited guest is Mr Michael Kerr (brother of Judith Purdy). Michael will be giving us a talk on emigration from Ireland over the years. His talk will include songs and guitar playing related to this theme. It should be an enjoyable event, and I look forward to a good attendance to support Michael. Thank you. (Michael Steele, Clerk of Session)

Advent Communion Service – next Sunday 1st December.

The Tuesday Club are pleased to welcome Trevor Price to their Christmas meeting on 3rd December, and we look forward to some Christmas fun. Tickets are £10 and this includes entertainment and refreshments. It is our last open meeting of the year, so come along for some enjoyment.”

Christmas Coffee Morning – Saturday 7th December, 10.30 – 12.00 Noon.
There will be a giving table for donations of cupboard essentials for Storehouse, or a gift of a new toy for Belfast Central Mission Christmas Appeal.

Presbyterian Herald Magazine Subscriptions for 2025
Annual subscriptions in paper (hard copy) format are due by the end of December. Current subscribers will receive a Subscription Envelope attached to their December/January issue. Should they wish to continue their subscription, they should return their Envelope subscription of £20-00 in the Freewill Offering plate or to Julie in the Church Office. Anyone else wishing to subscribe can pick up a Subscription Envelope from the Church vestibule, Herald Agent Stephen Dawson (Tel 07901 858373) can be contacted regarding any Herald queries. Please note that the Herald can also be acquired in digital format at a reduced cost of £16-00 for which an annual subscription can be arranged directly on-line via (http://issuu.com/presbyterianireland).
