The Tuesday Club was formed in October 2017 for people in the community who live alone, to try and overcome the problems of isolation and loneliness.
We now have over fifty names on our books, with room for more. We will close the membership at 60 in number; otherwise we would have to move to the larger hall, and our members would not feel so “cosy”! There will be a waiting list drawn up for those who have friends who wish to come along.
Meetings start at 2:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month, unless it is a bank holiday when we put the meeting back for a week. The Film Club runs on alternate Tuesdays during the months October to March. There are some classic films shown and everyone is welcome, regardless of whether or not you are a Tuesday Club member. This club has also been a success. There is always have a cup of tea to this fun and welcoming group. There is a charge £2 per meeting for the Tuesday Club and only ask for a voluntary donation for the Film Club to help cover costs.
