RAINBOWS

What do Rainbows do?

Rainbows learn by doing that’s why our programme gives them the opportunity to get their hands dirty, be creative with crafts, exploring new games and having adventures. We create a safe space for Rainbows to learn, grow their confidence, build friendships and have fun!

Rainbows have their regular meetings as well as special events and visit exciting places across Northern Ireland.

Rainbow programme

Rainbows have a fun packed programme which covers badges to suit every girl ranging from Storyteller, Family Tree and Construction.

The Rainbows programme consists of six themes:

* Know Myself
* Express Myself
* Be Well
* Have Adventures
* Take Action
* Skills For My Future

BROWNIES

What do Brownies do?

Brownies offers girls exciting opportunities to take on new challenges, make lifelong friends and discover the world around them. They meet regularly to work on challenge badges, learn new skills and play games.

Brownies are challenged to discover their independence, learn new hobbies and explore other cultures. They have trips, sleepovers and take part in adventurous activities.

Brownie programme

The hands-on Brownie programme allows girls to try out many different tasks and activities giving girls the opportunity to develop their own identity. The six themes included in our programme:

* Know Myself
* Express Myself
* Be Well
* Have Adventures
* Take Action
* Skills For My Future

Brownies complete interest badges around each theme which they can choose themselves. These increase their knowledge and abilities in a range of areas such as Space, Speaking Out, Inventing and Mindfulness.

GUIDES

What do Guides do?

Guides have the opportunity to get out into the world, have new exciting experiences and have fun with their friends. Guides helps girls to make a difference in their community and speak out on issues that matter to them.

Guides also take part in away days, camping, overnight trips, adventures and all sorts of exciting indoor and outdoor challenges.

Guide programme

The Guide programme is flexible and is designed to allow each girl to work towards and achieve her own personal goals. The six programme themes are:

* Know Myself
* Express Myself
* Be Well
* Have Adventures
* Take Action
* Skills For My Future

Guides can choose from lots of interest badges and special projects including Duke of Edinburgh Award. All of these earn them badges which they can wear on their uniform, and the work they do also counts towards their challenge badges which celebrate their time in Guides.

Guides can continue their Girl Guiding journey as our Guides join with the Ballyholme Presbyterian Company for Rangers (ages 14-18 years).
