On the 29th and 30th June we had a wonderful weekend celebrating the completion of the extension and refurbishment of areas of the Walter Nelson Halls Complex.
Over the weekend we opened the doors to the whole community and welcomed hundreds through the halls to view and enjoy our new facilities. The highlight of Saturday’s event was the Newtownards Silver Band entertaining everyone from the carpark.
On Sunday we held a special service of Praise and Thanksgiving. Following the service Mrs. Catherine Champion DL, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of County Down officially opened the halls. The new entrance foyer and renovated Coffee Bar were dedicated to the Glory of God and for the extension of the Kingdom of God within our community and beyond.
To complete the weekend of events our special guests and congregation enjoyed a celebratory lunch together in the church halls.
