Rev Paul Dalzell B.D. (Hons) was installed as minister of Groomsport Presbyterian Church on 3rd March 2017. Paul began his ministry in 1989 as assistant minister in Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church, Bangor, where he was ordained in 1991.
He has ministered in the congregations of Raffrey Presbyterian, the joint congregations of Hyde Park and Lylehill, and in Cregagh Presbyterian before coming to Groomsport. Married to Catherine since 1988 they have a grown up son and daughter.

Rev Denis Campbell is Minister Emeritus of St Andrew’s, Blackrock and St Andrew’s, Bray in the Dublin and Munster Presbytery. He was ordained assistant minister in Stormont in 1976 and in 1978 was installed in rural County Donegal at Donoughmore and Stranorlar.
His ministry in Dublin began in 1986. He married Hilary in 1976 and they have two grown-up children and one grandchild. His interests include Classical Music, travel, reading and the Northern Ireland football team!
Rev. Denis Campbell

Minister Emeritus (Retired). Rev Dr. D Roger Purce was minister of Groomsport congregation from May 1992 until his retirement on 31st July 2016. Having Obtained a D Min from Princeton Theological Seminary (USA), he mentored 15 interns from Princeton during his ministry in Groomsport.
Married to Doreen since 1976, they have 3 grown up children and 4 grandchildren. During retirement, Roger and Doreen split their time between Argens-Minervois, France and Portballintrae in Co Antrim.
Rev. Dr. Roger Purce
Minister Emeritus
Michael worked as a GP in Ballywalter for 20 years and now teaches medical students at Queen’s University Belfast, part time. He is a graduate of Edinburgh University. Before entering general practice, Michael worked in Malawi for six years as a District Health Officer and then tutor at the Lilongwe School of Health Sciences.
He has been a member of Groomsport Presbyterian church for over 30 years. He is married to Julie and they have two grown up sons, Adam and Matthew.

John is a quantity surveyor and up until his retirement in October 2023 he was a Managing Partner in Skope Projects LLP.
He attended Methodist College Belfast where he studied organ under Harry Grindle and Desmond Hunter. His first appointment as organist and choirmaster began, age 15, in Rathcoole Presbyterian. Since then, he has held similar positions in St John’s Church of Ireland, Whitehouse and Joymount Presbyterian, Carrickfergus before coming to Groomsport. He is also chairman of Carrickfergus Musical Festival Association.
John is married to Patricia, and they have two grown up children and two grandchildren.
