Groomsport Presbyterian Church

facilities hire

We have wonderful church hall facilities sited in the heart of Groomsport Village on Main Street overlooking Cockle Island and the Harbour. Our halls were extensively renovated and re-opened in 2024. The halls are used for church organisations and activities, but we also like to share our space for use by the local community, other churches and external organisations.

New building exterior

You can hire some or all of the spaces in our hall complex for your event or function.

the hub

Our newly refurbished Hub is a beautiful venue with floor to ceiling glazing which overlooks Cockle Row, Groomsport harbour and Belfast Lough. There is a servery bar with the usual kitchen facilities and equipment, and this can be used to serve light refreshments as well as tea and coffee.

There are six tables with a seating capacity for 34 people. There is a large screen available for use in the Hub.

Archie Agnew Hall

The Archie Agnew Hall has a larger capacity with access to the main kitchen. This can accommodate about 60 people comfortably. Again, the windows overlook Groomsport Harbour. There is a large screen available for use.

THE Irwin Room

The Irwin Room is a small meeting room, accessed through the Archie Agnew Hall, with capacity for about 20 people. This is a useful space for small groups and “breakout room” space.

the walter nelson hall

The Walter Nelson Hall is our main hall with a stage and court area for racket games etc. Seating capacity is larger and can accommodate around 125 people although this capacity would be reduced to around 80 with tables. There is a serving hatch from our main kitchen.
