Our guest preacher for our Harvest Service tonight is Rev Elliot Swattridge.
After the service, the congregation is invited over to our church hall where light refreshments will be served. We would request that Elders remain behind to collect gifts for distribution before going over to the church hall.

PW starts the year tomorrow night, Monday 14th October at 7.30pm when our stars will be Pat and Paul Miller. Hope to see you there.

Wednesday Private Prayer:- Our church is open for private prayer and quiet reflection every Wednesday morning. If you have any pastoral needs, please contact our minister Rev. Paul Dalzell or leave a message with our church secretary.
Storehouse:- There is currently a particular need for tinned meats and sweetcorn, long life milk, jam, size 7 nappies and shampoo. Your continued kindness is much appreciated.
Wednesday Welcome‘:- The Hub is open on a Wednesday morning from
10:30 to 12 noon. Anyone is welcome to call in, a warm welcome is assured.

Bible Characters & Their Prayers
Prayer & Bible Study – Continues this Wednesday at 7.30pm. Over a series
of 4 Wednesday evenings, we will consider different aspects of prayer as seen in Abraham, Moses, Nehemiah and Daniel. If you would like to attend you will be made very welcome as we explore God’s Word and share together.

Operation Christmas Child – This is an invitation to anyone, men and women, who would like to cover a shoe box for ‘The Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Child Appeal’ but is not sure just how to decorate their empty box.
Come along this Thursday 17th October at 10.30am with as many shoe boxes as you can, and if you have some spare Christmas paper, bring it along too.
We can work together and have a chat and cup of tea or coffee while decorating the boxes. Some of them we can use ourselves and some can be left in the church for others to fill. All the boxes will be collected by the end of October.
Do come along on Thursday 17th for a fun morning.

Something New! – Pickleball. This is a new and increasingly popular racquet sport for all ages and can be played at a pace to suit yourself. We have started a new group in the Walter Nelson Hall on Thursday afternoon, 2-4 p.m. (see over)
If you would like to learn more and see if this is for you, please come along on Thursday. Suitable footwear is recommended. Spectators also welcome – no pressure!
Hobby Hub also continues this Thursday, 2-4pm in the Hub.
This is an opportunity for fun and fellowship while sharing interests and skills in a safe and relaxed setting. Please come along and support this new venture.
Feel free to invite family and friends. We pray this will evolve and grow in the coming months.

Choir Practice continues this Thursday at 7.30pm.

Festival Brass is presenting a musical evening this Friday 18th October in
Bangor Parish Church, Hamilton Road. Tickets are free from Mary Cargill –

Saturday Coffee Morning: Our coffee mornings are continuing to be
held in The Hub every Saturday from 10:30 – 12 noon.
Come and enjoy tea/coffee and scones and bring your friends! Specialty coffees are also available from our new dispensing machine in the foyer.

A Right Royal Afternoon Tea – Hosted by the Mission Committee in the
Archie Agnew Room this Saturday 19th October at 2:30 p.m. Our guest Speaker is
Rev. Derek Kerr who is a renowned royal enthusiast and entertaining speaker. Proceeds will be in aid of ‘Open Doors’ supporting persecuted Christians around the world. There are a few remaining tickets available from members of the mission committee or church office – Price £10.

Also, Dr Pam Saturnia will be visiting us with a group from Muscatine Presbyterian Church, USA

The next Congregational Committee Meeting will take place on
Monday 21st October, at 7.30pm in the Archie Agnew Hall. This will be the first meeting of the newly appointed Committee, and a good attendance is encouraged
