In recent months the Kirk Session have attended PCI Safeguarding Training for Elders and they have been working to update our Safeguarding Policy and provision in line with new PCI Guidelines.
Joyce Currie has been appointed as our Designated Person for Child Protection and Adult Safeguarding Champion. Joyce will be supported by a newly appointed Safeguarding Team.
The Safeguarding Team members are Joyce Currie, Paul Dalzell, Michael Steele, Christopher Thompson, George Purdy and Alma McClements.
The Team and Kirk Session have reviewed and approved a new Groomsport Presbyterian Church Safeguarding Policy to protect and promote the safety of all children and adults connected with our church and organisations.
